LMS was commissioned by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) in August 2012 to prepare the Park Management Plan (PMP) for Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park during the post-Games transformation. The PMP addresses all aspects of the management and maintenance of the hard and soft landscape and structures including waterways, bridges, lighting, irrigation and artworks. The plan also incorporates strategies for the management of events, flood risk and park security and describes how LLDC will deliver on wider policy objectives, commitments and targets, for instance in relation to Community Engagement, Park Mobility and the Park Biodiversity Action Plan. Consultation involved working closely with key stakeholders such as the Lea River Park Authority, Canal and Rivers Trust, London Boroughs and Natural England throughout preparation of the plan, together with all departments within LLDC involved in park management, security, events, access and mobility and community engagement. Land Management Services was retained on completion of the PMP to prepare a park maintenance specification and assist in a re-measurement of the as built park landscape typologies. The park was awarded Green Flag status in 2016 and now sits at the heart of the regional regeneration programme. In 2019/20 we prepared the first full update of the PMP (2020 to 2025). In 2020 we drafted the PMP Executive summary for LLDC and assisted in the desk top publishing of the document.. |

Appointed by St George Developments Ltd to carry out a landscape management review of soft landscape and planting at Battersea Reach, York Road, London in order to assess and review condition and appearance, and current management and maintenance; and to make recommendations accordingly. The review identified key principles and constraints, e.g. importance of year round cover and high quality display, cost controls, and the impact of local environmental conditions, and identified key issues such as species selection and design and maintenance considerations. The Review was used to inform preparation of a LMMP to set out a strategy for the long term management of the hard and soft landscape, define management objectives and prescriptions to maintain the required quality and landscape coverage and to provide recommendations to address issues associated with levels of public use, plant failures, pests and diseases and general maintenance of the condition, appearance and quality of the public realm.
