Landscape and Visual Assessment for the re-development of a former university campus within a landscape listed on the Historic England Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. The scheme involved the demolition of the existing 1960s developments within the gardens, creation of residential development on the former building footprints and restoration of elements of the historic gardens. The LVIA incorporated measures for the conservation and re-creation of key historic views. Planning application approved. |

Preparation of Landscape and Visual Appraisal for the sensitive transformation of a former farm to local rural business units within the Kent Downs AONB. The LVIA informed the preparation of the scheme involving close collaboration across the design team and stakeholders to create an architectural language and setting sympathetic to the AONB providing extensive habitat creation and opportunities for tenants to benefit from the landscape within and around the re-imagined farm. Planning application approved. |

Preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment in relation to the construction of proposed additional storage facility at the British Library site near Boston Spa. The proposal related to the introduction of a large storage structure within a predominantly rural setting. The baseline LVIA informed the siting of the building and the development of a landscape setting by J&L Gibbons. Visualisations and Photomontages as part of the LVIA were prepared by Tomographics. |

Preparation of Landscape and Visual Assessment on behalf of the local authority and presentation of evidence at public inquiry for a key test case in the extensive use of polytunnels in fruit production. Following the inquiry we worked with the local authority, farmer and their landscape architects in order to develop a landscape protocol, rotation strategy and mitigation which has subsequently led to a successful application for continued use of the site for soft fruit. |
