About us

Land Management Services Ltd is an award-winning landscape and environmental consultancy specialising in sustainable landscape management, maintenance, design, ecology and planning.

The aim of the consultancy is to promote the wise use of land and to aid its design, maintenance and management in a productive, cost-effective and responsible manner.

David Withycombe BSc MSc MPhil CMLI

David Withycombe David is Director of Land Management Services Ltd. He is a landscape manager with over thirty years’ experience in the public and private sector. David has particular skills in landscape survey and assessment, the preparation of management strategies and plans, landscape maintenance contracts and budgetary and resource planning of landscape construction and maintenance works. His project experience includes the management and maintenance of heritage landscapes and urban parks, highways, rural estates, protected landscapes and habitats, commercial developments and theme parks. He has also prepared landscape and visual assessments and presented evidence at public inquiry with particular skills in relation to development in sensitive rural landscapes.


Wendy Fidler BA, MA, BSc, CMLI

Wendy Fidler Wendy took up a second career in Landscape Management after many years in the education sector and joined Land Management Services in 2014. She has worked on a range of landscape assessment and management commissions in the private and public sectors, including landscape and visual impact assessment for residential and commercial development, including proposals within designated landscapes, HLF Parks for People and Heritage Grant projects, grounds maintenance reviews and contracts, stakeholder consultation, contract administration, and management plans for parks and countryside sites. Wendy is also RHS qualified and has wide experience as a volunteer for organisations including the National Trust and National Parks England.
